With the British Folk scene still on the rise, there seems to be a glut of promising folk songwriters about at the moment. The latest of these brought to our attention is Philip Murray Warson.
His style is simple – mixing acoustic guitar, plus one or two other subtle instrumental additions, with layered, harmonied vocals, he creates a compelling sound and tells stories which draw the listener in. Working as a stage actor alongside his music career, he is a performer who knows how to draw an audience in.
Often, the most impactful lines in a play are those which are spoken most softly. Such is the case with the music of Philip Murray Warson.
